Wiesel’s Reasons
In his novel, the author Eliezer Wiesel has many reasons in writing the story Night that talk about the author’s Holocaust experiences. Elie Wiesel when he was just 15 was sent to Auschwitz, a concentration camp. After he was released a year later, he remained mute about his experiences of the Holocaust for 10 years. He met a man, who later became his close friend who persuaded him to write about his Holocaust experiences. When Elie did, he believed that he had reminded the public, who had tried to ignore the Holocaust, about the atrocities that happened. Some people believe that Elie had just let a new generation of Jewish children know about what may have happened to their relatives. I believe that Elie made the right choice, writing about his experiences. Based on him getting the Nobel Peace Prize as well as many other awards I’m sure many others agree with me.
